Sunrise In The Outer Banks
The Outer Banks of North Carolina has been voted one of the top 10 places in the world so view the most breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. I would definitely have to agree!!! Like Totally!!!
A Little Introduction
Welcome to my brand new OBX Beach Girl Blog. We are located in the heart of The Outer Banks North Carolina. I have a serious passion for fashion, makeup, and anything sparkly.
I'm still in school, so I may not manage to add a new post every day... but I'll do the best I can! (I'm good at procrastinating from school work... ;)
So basically, I plan on posting cute outfits, hairstyles, makeup, nails, and other random stuff.
You can think of this blog as 'a look into my random mind' ;)
Why did I decide to make a blog?
Well first off, I love fashion. I love browsing the internet and searching for new fashion blogs to look at, (Pinterest helps me a lot). My blog role models include The Beauty Department, Cupcakes and Cashmere, and my all time favorites: both of Kandee Johnson's blogs (I'll post links at the bottom of this post:)
I also love photography. If anything strikes my fancy, I'll snap a shot of it. Expect random pictures.
My plan for this blog is that every month, I'll post my monthly favorites, and other than that, my blog will be a bunch of random.
I seriously love Kandee Johnson. I'll probably get lots of ideas from her... (expect to see What's in My Purse posts)
Here's 5 random facts about me:
1. Winter is my all time favorite time of the year. I love the holidays and all the peppermint mochas!
2. All my life I've wanted a Polaroid camera. I love the vintage look of the Polaroid film, and it's so convenient to have your pictures print directly from the camera!
3. I love the beach. I'm a total beach girl. We used to live in a major city, but we moved to the beach a year ago, and I've been in Heaven ever since. But my plan for after college is to bring the city to the beach by opening my 1st store in the OBX named Oleta's which is also the name of my Brand....Oleta! (shopping is so convienient in the city... stores, boutiques, shopping everywhere!!!)
4. I want to be an interior designer.
5. Channing Tatum is my favorite celebrity... well, man celebrity. I also love Sofia Vergara, Ellen Degeneres, and... did I mention Kandee Johnson??
Now that you know a little about me, let me describe myself in 3 words.
Quirky- I love trying new things, think food, makeup, and fashion statements. I love the sophisticated look, but I can't pull it off. Whimsical, yet stylish is my go- to style.
Random- Ahhhhh yes, very. I have a million things going around in my mind 24/7. No, no, I don't have ADHD, I'm actually really calm and quiet. But my mind... well, it never stops thinking about totally random things.
Girly- I am a girly-girl. You can never go wrong with a cute pink sweater or a pair of sparkley ballet flats. I need sparkle and lace and frill in my life. Oh, and did I mention that shopping is my favorite past time? I love spending money. It's kind of an addiction, actually. I can totally see myself sitting saying, "My name is Katie and I'm a shopaholic."
I'm obsessed with smelling good. To me, it's wayyyyyy too easy to spend all day at Bath and Body Works; it happens a lot, actually. This time of year my favorite scent is peppermint, but the rest of the year I prefer sweet, fruity scents like Sweet Pea and my all time favorite Pink Ice perfume by Rue21.
